It’s always thrilling to work on a prestigious international event and The Icons Cup was no exception. A unique golf tournament featuring sporting icons from around the world such as Oscar De La Hoya, Luis Figo, Shane Warne, Ray Allen, Brian O’ Driscoll in a Ryder Cup-style event, with Major winning Fred Couples and Darren Clarke as captains. The event was taking place at the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club and after creating the brand for the inaugural event in Las Vegas, we partnered with the organisers again, on highly visionary brief to update the initial brand into a series of tournaments.

Focus on quality
Over several months, we delivered iterations of research and concepts to evolve the event brand. Our focus was on quality. And an identity that could apply seamlessly across mobile, website, marketing, apparel and TV. In effect, we built an enduring ‘family style’ which could accommodate future growth.
Branding and web to apparel
We created all new tournament branding, event signage, website advertising boards, marketing comms, ticket design, auction cards and adapted the branding for apparel. As part of the media team, we regularly liaised with overseas event teams, PR and sponsors. With our team on site during the event, we were able to watch The Icons Cup become a runaway success and receive international media interest.
